[ABOUT THE ARTISTS]

Iago and Ninna are Brazilians, from Vitória-ES. They are Brazilian Zouk teachers, dancers and DJs, as well as event organizers such as IN Zouk Festival, in Vitória-BR and Portugal Brazilian Zouk Festival, in Lisbon-PT. Both are official Jack and Jill judges from the Brazilian Zouk Dance Council (BZDC) and also competitors.

Iago began his dance journey at the age of 14 (2011) as a scholarship holder at Arquitetura da Dança (the largest dance school in Vitória-BR), with intensive training of at least 20 hours per week, dancing at the AD Dance Company and also assisting in classes. In 2013, he became a teacher at AD, starting his career.

Ninna fell in love with dance since she was a child, with ballet, but in 2015 she started taking classes at Arquitetura da Dança and, in 2016, she was invited to join the AD Dance Company. In 2018, she also began her career as a teacher and organizer of events in Vitória-BR. It was in 2018 that Iago and Ninna began to collaborate as teachers, helping each other with some classes and organizing events.

Throughout their training, they studied with great professionals such as Jaime Arôxa, Val & Vanessa, Paulo & Luiza, Bruno Galhardo, among others, improving their dance and teaching techniques. In 2022, Iago and Ninna made their partnership official and, together, they develop work around the world, teaching Brazilian Zouk through workshops and festivals. They have already traveled to 23 countries and have been present at major events in Europe, the United States, Asia, Australia and Brazil. In 2024, they competed for the first time and won 3rd place in the Brazilian Zouk World Championship in Phoenix-USA, the largest Brazilian Zouk Championship in the World, in the professional category, called Original, and in 2025 they were champions in the Teams category.

They are currently part of the Zouk Needs You (ZNY) team, formed by Val and Vanessa, focused on training and developing dance techniques and teaching Brazilian Zouk. Nowadays, they are traveling the World touring to teach Brazilian Zouk and also, they are helping to develop communities in different scenes in USA.
